International Confex was.. meh

Its been nearly a week since i attended International Confex at Earls Court in London. Well me and Tara got there just after lunch and as soon as we got there… What can i say, Confex was hot! Literally! Now i know Earls Court is generally not well known for its air conditioning but my god it was awful.
My main point of going to Confex is to liaise with other event organiser and venues and build up a network like most people, but this year for me was very disappointing. The international section was not very international. Most countries outside of Europe had stupidly small and unhelpful stands that were no use at all. Canada was a big let down.
The facilities were not at all special this year either. The VIP lounge had more people in than the bloody hall itself it was so small and so busy you could hardly get in the door. I don’t want to sound like a moany attendee, i think most of the issues i had were with the companies not making an effort this year. So after about 2 hours of walking around in a Maldives climate we headed out to the museums.
I wont be heading back to Confex for a couple years lets hope things are better when i return. Dont get me wrong it must have taken a fair ammount of work and like i said i think its more down to the stand holders but compared to previous years it just wasnt what i was expecting.
