This Project is currently on hold until further notice. Registration is still open. I apologise for an inconvenience caused.
Many of you would have seen the post i made last week about Codename: Argyle Project. Well we have decided not to change our codename because… well just because! What i can do now is give you most of the details for the project that were only confirmed today. I can confirm that there will be 3 rounds which will consist of two heats and a final. Each contestant (which in this case would be the singers from across HRM) must prepare 3 tracks (That’s one for each round).
For each round all participants will be put in-front of a panel of 5 judges (Judges to be announced). You will need to get a yes from the majority of the judges to pass through. If you are lucky enough to make it to the final third round which will only consists of a small number of people you will be given the opportunity to battle it out with the other finalists for the chance to headline some major Halifax events. Which events your wondering? Well that’s our big news.
We are very pleased to inform you that the winners will be given the opportunity to perform at this years Tall Ships event in Halifax. They will be given a slot on the Haligonia Stage right on the harbour front near the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Your performance will be witnessed by thousands along the harbour. Interested yet? It gets better.Next week myself and Haligonia plan to launch a brand new project in Halifax and we will be giving the finalists the opportunity to headline that event as well. (More details later this month)
There are no age restrictions in place now which is an alteration to our 16+ originally posted. You can apply here for your audition. The dates of the auditions are unknown but will be within the next 30 days. By completing the form your join our mailing list and we will keep you up to date. All the heats will be on the same day. We have altered our original plan. We now expect everyone to come to an audition but if you have a video of you singing then just include it in your application.
On arrival all applicants will need to sign in at the desk which will clearly marked. They will be provided with a number which they must display when going into to see the judges. Each contestant will need to pay the 5$ fee to take part in this contest. This fee is to pay for the venue in which we will hold the auditions and is no way connected with the Tall Ships event.
