My Visit to Q104 Halifax

I’m kicking myself for not taking some photographs because my visit to Q104 yesterday was really interesting. Their offices and studios were nothing like what i expected. They were very big and very modern! Ted Hyland, General Manager of Q104 and Kool 96.5 invited me to visit and take a tour of their facilities followed by a light lunch.

I was lucky enough to see their “wall of fame” with signed discs, posters, awards from many of the biggest names in rock and then, at the end of the corridor was this awards cabinet with an award in that looks extremely familiar for some reason.. I also had the opportunity to go into the studios and see some live broadcasting and ran into a fellow twitterer Anna Zee who was on the air at the time! The view from the studio was fantastic; no wonder Q104 is able to keep you in the loop so well!

Thanks to all the staff at the stations for a very warm welcome. It was a very interesting, entertaining and educating morning, which is saying something for a Monday! I really hope that opportunities arise for me and the station to work together in the near future!
